Blackburn Rovers latest recruit Emmanuel Dennis has promised to deliver entertainment as well as goals at Ewood Park after joining the Riversiders from Nottingham Forest, Soccernet.football reports.
Dennis will spend the remainder of the 2024/2025 season on loan with the EFL Championship side. Blackburn expect the former Watford target man to make significant contributions as they continue their battle for a promotion playoff place.
At 27 years old, the Nigeria international arrives at Ewood Park with a wealth of experience, having played for the likes of Club Brugge, Cologne, Watford, Istanbul Basaksehir and Nottingham Forest.
In his first interview as a Blackburn Rovers player, Dennis expressed his desire to connect with the fans of the club by showcasing his skills on the pitch and also contribute to the Riversiders’ push for promotion.
“Rovers are in a very good position and the team plays good football, so I hope I can add a bit of something to the team for us to have a good time together,” he told RoversTV.
“Goals are no problem, but I also like having fun, showing tricks, nutmegs and exciting the fans, because that’s what they come to the stadium to see.
“They come for fun, some happy moments and victories. People come from home to sit in the cold and watch us play, so you have to give them something.
“I’m a happy guy, I’m always happy and it’s a good feeling when I’m scoring goals. I’m excited to go out there in front of the fans and they’re going to have a good time with me!”
The addition of a talented player like Dennis certainly bolsters Blackburn’s attack. With his experience at Watford and Forest, the Nigerian should have little issues settling into life in the EFL Championship.
