Despite his ongoing suspension from football, Pogba is set to grace the silver screen in a French film.
The midfielder, sidelined after testing positive for a banned testosterone substance following a clash with Udinese in August, seems to be embracing his time away from the pitch with a foray into the arts.
According to ESPN, Pogba was recently spotted filming in the streets of Paris for ‘4 Zéros,’ a sequel to the 2002 hit ‘3 Zéros,’ slated for release next year.
There are claims that Pogba will portray the character of a youth team football coach in the film.
An eyewitness to Pogba’s acting debut shared with the French outlet: “He amazed everyone with his naturalness and simplicity.
“He visibly appreciated the experience and said he was ready, why not, to reproduce it further. “
In a heartwarming gesture, Pogba took time to pose for pictures with excited children and teenagers, who were reportedly thrilled to be in his presence.
However, uncertainties loom over Pogba’s sporting future as his appeal against the ban is pending, with a potential return to football not on the cards until 2027 if the verdict remains unchanged.
The suspension, initially imposed in September, stemmed from Pogba’s positive test for the banned substance DHEA, known to enhance naturally occurring testosterone levels.
Pogba’s rise to stardom began at Manchester United before he made a high-profile switch to Juventus in 2012.
A sensational return to Old Trafford followed four years later in a record-breaking £89.3 million deal, securing his status as one of the game’s elite talents.
During his second stint with the Red Devils, Pogba clinched both the Europa League and League Cup titles, adding to his illustrious career highlight reel with a World Cup triumph for France in 2018.
However, his subsequent return to Juventus in 2022 was marred by injury setbacks, limiting his playing time to a mere 52 minutes this season before his suspension.
