Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid are all interested in Guirassy, who has been one of the highest goal scorers in the German top flight this term, as per Sky News.
Guirassy has had an outstanding season in the Bundesliga, scoring 14 goals in the first eight games and finishing the season with 26 goals despite a brief thigh injury. His impressive finishing and composure in front of goal have caught the attention of many.
With Anthony Martial set to leave Old Trafford at the end of this season and Rasmus Højlund not as prolific as United would have wanted, the Red Devils are expected to target a top striker.
Man United have been linked with several attackers including Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins but Guirassy represents a quality option at a bargain price.
Borussia Dortmund also see the 28-year-old Guinean as their top choice for the striker position as they make their transfer shortlist for the summer.
With a release clause of 18 million euros, Guirassy is considered a bargain and a “no-brainer” for any interested club.
However, aside from Manchester United and Dortmund, Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also in the race for the forward’s signature.
Dortmund’s pursuit of Guirassy may depend on the future of their current strikers, Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko, who the club might offload to make room for Guirassy.
