Juventus and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of German international Karim Adeyemi.
The Italian giants have been keen to secure the 22-year-old forward in recent weeks and have now made significant progress.
Initially, negotiations appeared challenging, with Borussia Dortmund valuing Adeyemi at €50 million. Juventus sought to negotiate a lower fee, exploring various ways to make the deal feasible.
However, both clubs have now reached a consensus. According to DW’s Lolade Adewuyi, Borussia Dortmund accepted Juventus’ offer of €39 million, with an additional €5 million in potential add-ons.
As negotiations near completion, Adeyemi will not join Dortmund’s preseason training in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland. Instead, he is expected to travel to Turin on Friday to finalize his move to the Serie A side.
The main terms of Adeyemi’s five-year contract, set to run until 2029, have been agreed upon. He is set to earn €3.5 million annually, plus performance-related bonuses.
Adeyemi joined Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in July 2022 for €30 million. Over the past two years, he has made 66 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists.
Adeyemi’s arrival at Juventus may prompt the departure of Federico Chiesa, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League. Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham, and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the Italian international.
